Data Sources
Denzing empowers users to connect with their data—wherever it lives. Whether your files are stored in the cloud or locally, our platform supports seamless integration with a wide variety of data sources, enabling Agents to interact with your data in real time through natural, conversational queries.
Cloud Storage Integrations
To make data access more flexible and user-friendly, Denzing allows you to connect popular cloud storage services directly to your workspace. Once connected, Agents can access structured and semi-structured files (like CSVs or spreadsheets) from your cloud drives and respond to your questions as if they were data analysts by your side.
Supported Platforms
- Google Drive
- OneDrive
- Dropbox
- (More integrations coming soon)
How It Works
- Connect Your Storage: Link your Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox account to Denzing using secure OAuth authentication.
- Select Your File: Choose the CSV or spreadsheet file you want your Agent to interact with.
- Auto Metadata Generation: Denzing scans the file to automatically generate schema metadata (headers, data types, etc.) and infer semantic metadata where possible (e.g., metrics, formulas).
- Chat with Your Data: Ask natural-language questions like:
- “Show me sales trends over the past six months.”
- “What are the top 5 performing products?”
- “Calculate average order value grouped by region.”
- Follow Up with Ease: Continue the conversation with follow-up questions, refinements, or deeper analysis—all without ever writing a formula or query.
Local Data Uploads
Not all data lives in the cloud—and that's okay. Denzing supports local file uploads so you can chat with your own CSV or spreadsheet files stored on your computer.
How It Works
- Upload a File: Drag and drop or browse to upload a CSV or spreadsheet file directly from your local machine.
- Automatic Processing: The uploaded file is scanned and parsed by the Agent, which automatically creates schema metadata and optionally allows you to define custom semantic metadata.
- Start Chatting: Begin querying your data right away:
- “Summarize sales by product category.”
- “How many unique customers were there last quarter?”
- “Give me a month-wise breakdown of revenue.”
Privacy & Control
- Uploaded files are only stored temporarily or as long as needed for the session, based on user settings.
- Files can be deleted at any time.
- No data is shared without your explicit permission.
Use Cases
- Team Collaboration: Allow teams to explore shared spreadsheets from Google Drive or OneDrive without emailing data back and forth.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Quickly upload a local CSV from your desktop and get insights in seconds—perfect for one-time analyses or reports.
Conclusion
Denzing’s data source integrations make it incredibly easy to connect, explore, and chat with your data—whether it's in the cloud or on your local device. With full support for platforms like Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, and direct local uploads, your Agents are ready to help you extract insights from wherever your data lives.
